Like any other service-based business, I have standard terms that apply to each and every project. Please
review these terms before contacting me.
Overview of payment terms
A 50% deposit, or minimum of $200 (whichever is greater), is required prior to commencement of any work. The balance is payable prior to submission of the final draft. For larger volume projects, the balance will be payable as per an agreed installment plan. Rush projects are payable in full in advance.
Typical project structure
When a buyer contacts me for writing services, I ask a few preliminary questions, to get enough information to allow me to accurately estimate the project. I then submit a proposal which includes all the relevant details about the project: description, schedule, fees, and standard business terms. Once an agreement is reached, I schedule a telephone or skype meeting to discuss the content requirements and specific instructions. Following this, an early draft is submitted as per dates detailed in the agreement. If required, drafts are submitted for feedback progressively until completion. The process may vary slightly on each unique project to accommodate buyer's needs.
Rush projects
Every effort is made to accommodate clients promptly. Please note that a premium may be charged for rush projects. A rush project is any writing request which requires commencement within less than 48 hours from acceptance of the agreement and/or that requires completion in less than 5 business days, and/or requires me to work outside of regular business hours to hit a deadline. Rush projects must be paid in full in advance.
