Job Description
A manufacturing company located in Santa Clara is currently seeking an HR Generalist who is energetic a self-starter and detail-oriented to support this fast growing organization.
The ideal Human Resources Generalist will possess solid progressive well-rounded human resources experience with exceptional interpersonal skills. They will have the ability to interact with all levels in the company using tact, patience and professional courtesy and demonstrate a sense of urgency and teamwork as well as timely and accurate follow-through. Must also be bilingual Spanish/English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Generalist job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Lead the full cycle recruitment process for the job openings.
Manage the new hire on-boarding process, including preparing new hire packages, checking references, and handling paperwork during orientation.
Maintain affirmative action program; assist with filing EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Assist with reviewing/updating the Employee Handbook to reflect current workplace policies and procedures.
Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and practices. Participate in resolving employee-level workplace issues.
Conduct Exit Interviews and provide analysis of trends and recommendations.
Coordinate Workers Compensation claims as a liaison between employee, healthcare provider and carrier. Conduct accident investigations and prepare reports for management and the insurance carrier.
Other HR-related duties as assigned by the HR management.
Qualifications
AA degree required. Bachelor degree in a related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience with general HR operations and preferably with: full-cycle recruitment, employment law, WC claims, and employee relations.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Can-do mentality and readiness to go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to managers/employees.
Remarkable attention to detail.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize many tasks and complete them with accuracy and efficiency
Ability to handle tasks with a sense of urgency and confidentiality.
