Purpose:
Lead the respective Apparel Costing team in driving the overall optimization of product value and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Apparel Product Development in partnership with the Profitability and Sourcing teams in setting and implementing global strategic costing standards, across Marketing, Design, Development and Sourcing.
Be a key contributor to Creation Centre growth and profitability by gaining a full understanding of its business potential, anticipating requirements and proposing cost-based solutions to achieve Brand adidas objectives.
In collaboration with Sourcing, Global Planning and Development, contribute to allocation strategies to ensure margin maximization by investigating potential on new sources and trade agreement benefits.
Facilitate product value landed/margin/FOB discussions within cross-functional teams, recommending tactical actions/adjustments in season.
Together with the Senior developer and Head of Apparel Product Development build a strong development team through training and coaching to continuously improve costing.
Ensure that the respective CC Costing team act as a consultant partner towards the respective Creation Centre team, supporting on demand day to day costing and provide technical costing expertise to engineer product to cost and to enable design to profitability.
Promote a costing culture within the organization (awareness and functional skills), developing costing tools and offering training programs to enable design to profitability.
Define and monitor product costing performance and costing process performance at the key development stages, setting the framework, the KPIs and the communication process
Support development or enhancement of systems and process to ensure costing requirements are met and to improve costing performance.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical knowledge of apparel construction, material construction and properties, and garment pricing.
Strong knowledge of relevant domestic and international product industry standards and/or processes, specializing in product engineering, costing, or marketing. Exposure to the latest innovations in materials, trims, production processes, support systems and concepts.
Ability to manage and complete multiple projects under a deadline.
Ability to share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management.
Strong team player with the ability to work with diverse groups of people in a productive manner. Ability to mentor and motivate others as necessary.
Advanced computer literacy, including, but not limited to, databases, computer system architectures and internet/web development.
Basic understanding of graphic programs/CAD, production systems and applicable legacy adidas Group systems is preferred.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Domestic and International Travel as required.
Fluent English ( verbal and written)
IT skills (MS Office) and strong ability to work with Product Data Management Systems
College or University degree with emphasis on clothing technology and/or manufacturing or comparable education
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the garment/textile industry
Experience in personnel management
