The assigned responsibilities require a very high degree of accuracy as well as excellent organizational skills. This is a .85 FTE position reporting to the Director of Faculty Support Services.I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Administrative support to Legal Research and Writing Faculty * Support faculty research and scholarship * Administrative Exam Support * Student Clerkship Coordinator * Other duties as assignedII. Specific Responsibilities * Provide general administrative support to assigned Legal Research and Writing Faculty * Maintain effective and timely communication with faculty and staff. * Proofread and type correspondence, exams, and course material. * Complete payment requests and reimbursements. * Maintain organized files as requested. * Post assignments and messages on an electronic course page. * Arrange travel as needed. * Support faculty research and scholarship. * Administrative support of faculty teaching, research and professional development. * Produce technically complex documents including merge documents, heavily foot-noted manuscripts and graphics with minimum of supervision and work direction. * Administrative Exam Support * Ensure all confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements are strictly followed. * Assist in the preparation of Exam packets and supplies * Student Clerkship Coordinator * Assist students who are applying for a federal clerkship internship position. * Act as a liaison between the Law Career Center and the Faculty Support office. * Communicate with all Administrative Assistants who will be assisting in this process. * Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: * Occasional proctoring and starting of exams. * Occasional support of building management for other Law School buildings.III. Qualifications * Associates degree or equivalent experience required. * A minimum of three to five years, relevant work experience, preferably in a Law School or law firm setting, required. * The ability to work independently and complete projects accurately and on time with minimal supervision. * Experience working in a team based, collaborative environment. * Strong organizational and leadership skills. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Strong PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, database programs and e-mail required. * Some bookkeeping experience helpful. * Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. * Appreciation for and understanding of a Jesuit education.
