Job Description
Do you have piles of 'lessons-learned' stacking up? Want to help people by sharing your story? We're looking for personable hr managers with 5+ years of experience to join our team on a consultancy basis. Selected candidates will advise new and soon-to-be hr managers over the phone - answering career-based questions and helping them get ahead.
This is a consulting role with a time commitment of 1-4 hours per month (varies on the amount of requests you get). Set your own rate and schedule your own calls.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills as you'll be sharing insights about the job, including what it's like to:
Plan and coordinate an organizations workforce to best use employees talents
Link an organization's management with its employees by handling questions, administering employee services, and resolving work-related problems
Advise managers on organizational policies, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and support staff
Oversee an organizations recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
Handle staffing issues, such as mediating disputes, firing employees, and directing disciplinary procedures
Select candidates will be invited to become a Wisewords Advisor where you'll coach new hr managers be successful in the industry. Our clientele are students, recent grads and people changing careers. Specific responsibilities include:
Reply to call requests promptly
Chat with people over the phone to answer their questions about the industry
Answer career-based questions
Share lessons learned and mistakes made
Bounce ideas off of one another
Exchange views
Provide career-based insights and suggestions
