Audit Manager - Global Accounting and Consulting Firm (San Jose, CA) in San Jose, California For Sale

Oversee the efforts of multiple client audit engagements in a wide variety of industries, with the ability to manage those engagements to budget.Maintain active communication with clients throughout the audit to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction and lead change efforts effectively.Consult, work with and service assigned client base to make recommendations on business improvements, process improvements and serve as a trusted business advisor to the assigned clients.Team with firm audit partners and senior managers on client proposals and business development calls.Understand and manage firm risk on all assigned audit engagements and proposals.Manage, develop, train and mentor audit staff on assigned projects, and assess their performance for audit engagement review and year-end performance reviews.Actively participate in the on-going recruiting of audit talent into the firm.Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis.Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:A Bachelor s degree in accounting or a related business field required. Additional higher education (e.g. MBA) is a plus.A minimum of 5 years of current audit experience in a public accounting or a professional services firm required. (Big 4, national or large regional CPA firm experience preferred.)An active CPA license is required.Excellent analytical, technical and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.Excellent written and oral communication skills required.Demonstrated success in client service, staff development and business development in the San Jose marketplace preferred.Proficient use of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. required.
