About the Team:
Recognizing that an organization's approach to its Internet initiatives is developed long before implementation and is an on:going exercise long after go:live, Akamai Professional Services offers consulting services that address all phases of a customer's Internet strategy.
Akamai's Professional Services team calls upon its Internet expertise to architect the optimal solution for the unique business and technical requirements of our customers. Through its proven methodologies and processes, this highly experienced team of consultants has implemented effective solutions for over 2,000 Akamai customers.
Responsibilities:
* Own customer projects, including providing full project management, creation and maintenance of implementation documentation, and tracking timelines and deliverables.* Create and manage detailed project plans for customer integrations including timelines and effort estimates.* Work closely with teams to manage and implement customer trials, propose technically feasible solutions and set accurate expectations on effort and timelines for integration. Establish success criteria and act as the single point of contact for all technical issues and project deliverables.provide implementation scope and estimates.* Perform basic technical implementation tasks, such as customer configuration updates.* Work closely with all teams Engineering, Product Development and Customer Care to resolve issues* Participate in internal projects.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information System, relevant field or equivalent work experience.* Minimum 1 year of overall experience in IT industry.* Minimum 1 year of experience in technical engineering, consulting role, delivering technical products or services.* Minimum 1 year of experience in Internet technologies, standards and protocols, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Web architecture and design.
Desired Qualifications:* Implementation experience with web delivery technologies.* Experience in one or more web development languages, methodologies, and/or architectures : Java, J2EE, HTTP, DNS, .NET, C, JSP, ASP, Tomcat, Apache.* Detailed knowledge of Internet technologies and considered a subject matter expert in any relevant internet topic.* Experience delivering internet technologies within B2B or B2C : shopping cart, user personalization, and dynamic database architectures.* A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence.
