As a staff software Engineer at SanDisk, you will be responsible for developing software solution for state:of:the:art Enterprise storage technologies. You will be designing and developing intelligent and scalable software stack for datacenters alongside group of engineers of high technical expertise.
The job responsibilities are
: Design, develop and maintain highly available block storage system
: Triage, diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware for high:performance shared storage system
: Develop performance leadership in SanDisk storage products
: Evaluate and integrate latest Linux kernel patches in the software
: Work with OEM vendors
: Attend critical customer escalations along with the support team
This position requires
: Excellent knowledge of SAN storage paradigms
: Relevant experience of 8 years or more in Storage domain
: Possess strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities
: Knowledge of storage and network subsystem in Linux
: Excellent C and Linux kernel development skills
: Expertise in development and debugging in Linux platforms
: Knowledge of integration with a variety of initiators (Windows, Linux, ESXi etc.)
: Knowledge of scripting languages
: Knowledge of Linux tools like gdb, automake, rpm etc
: Ability to work independently as well as with a team
: Possess and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
: Ability to work with cross:functional teams
Experience in the following areas is a major plus:
: Familiarity to protocols like iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SCSI
: Knowledge of shell scripts/other scripting languages
: Experience with analyzer tools like Wireshark, TCP dump
