Responsibilities
Will be responsible for validating L4-L7 services, software features such as HTTP/HTTPS, hardware, and data plane (both internally developed modules and partner solutions).
Expected to participate in all of the phases of product development cycle – product definition, architecture, design, scoping, planning, implementation and test.
Deployment and validation of one or more configuration, management and provisioning functions.
Analyze software and delivery systems, design test strategy for systems and components. Conduct research on emerging technologies.
Define the performance and scalability requirements.
Drive test automation and test tool development.
Provide day to day technical guidance and hands on help to engineers, in addition to training and mentoring other team members.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
Technical experience in testing L4-L7 network protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS and TCP/IP, networking applications, web-based software, and system architectures for telecommunications domain.
A good understanding of Cloud architecture, software life cycles, VMs, Containers.
An excellent understanding of test methodologies with at least 2+ years of experience in validating large application delivery systems.
Strong fundamentals of distributed systems development, security, application delivery controllers, tools and designs.
Proficient with L4-L7 software test tools and environment such as Ixia, Spirent, Smart Bear, Breaking Point, JMeter, curl, Confluence, Jira, or equivalents.
Proficient in scripting/automation languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, shell or equivalents.
Demonstrated understanding of failure mode analysis.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees across the business.
Desired Skills:
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline/experience preferred.
12 years of experience in network engineering, service provider or large enterprise network.
