**Job Description** The Intuit central technology division is looking for a staff software engineer to lead the development of UI widgets for its centralized services used by the Intuit wide offerings. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-driven engineering contributor with extensive experience in UI development for web applications and tools. Requirements: * A Computer Science degree and 6 years of relevant web programming experience including a minimum of 5 years in CSS, Javascript. * Strong command of CSS, HTML/XHTML, XML/XSLT/XPath, JSP, JavaScript, applied knowledge and use of DOM2 methods and properties * Cross-browser development techniques and browser degradation strategies * Deep understanding of object oriented Javascript and event-driven programming. * Understanding of HTML5 (Web Workers, Web Sockets, Canvas, Local Storage) * Understanding of CSS3 and responsive design concepts. * Strong knowledge of AngularJS framework * Experience with other JS libraries and frameworks (ExtJS, Sencha Touch, Backbone.js, and Ember.js) is a PLUS * Familiarity with frameworks like ExtJS, Dojo, Prototype, YUI, GWT, jQuery, Ruby on Rails (ROR), Node.js. * Experience in developing AJAX based interfaces/components using standard frameworks (eg jQuery) * Experience developing responsive web designs that work well on all devices, especially mobile and tablet. * Proficient in (X)HTML, AJAX, the DOM, Object Oriented JavaScript and JS libraries, HTTP, HTML5, CSS3, W3C standards. **Qualifications** * 8 years experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications * BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience * Well versed in code optimization and development patterns * History of delivering successful commercially used software products. * Fluent in UNIX * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Practitioner of full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, specification, documentation, unit testing, release, and maintenance. * Ability to lead teams * 3 years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP * Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences * Expertise in the Software design/architecture process * Expertise with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD) * Business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development * Building strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent Imagine a career where your creative inspiration can fuel BIG innovation.
